In 2013 Cathy spent four months in Africa attached to Challenge Ministries Swaziland, partly in the inspiring town of Bulembu helping rebuild their dental clinic. She also visited game reserves in Swazliand and the Kruger National Park in South Africa where she photographed the animals she is now painting.

ZinhleCathy is exhibiting during Cheltenham Open Studios, 13-212 June, at the Lansdown Art Studios (venue 15) and would be thrilled to have visitors. Cathy is primarily an abstract artist but decided to paint the series of animal portraits, giving them Swazi names, after revisiting Bulembu in April. All profits from the sale of her work is going to the orphaned and vulnerable children cared for in Bulembu.
