Available appliances include:

Tooth-coloured braces. These are less noticeable so are good for self-conscious children, or for adults whose teeth are not suited to other treatment options They will still require metal wires. |

Lingual braces. These are custom-made braces which are fixed to the back of your teeth so they are invisible. They are easily tolerated by patients and very effective, and are also less likely to lead to damage to teeth from decalcification and decay. They are usually only suitable for those aged 14 and over. |

Invisalign®. A sophisticated system of removable and virtually invisible clear aligners which gently move and straighten your teeth. This system is usually only suitable for those aged 14 and over and in selected cases.

Metal. These are the standard appliances which are placed on the front of the teeth and through which the wire passes. |
