Cathy is a Specialist Orthodontist and one of the founding partners at Cotswold Orthodontics. She graduated from University College London and started her career in general dental practice followed by posts in maxillofacial surgery at Peterborough District Hospital, University College Hospital and Great Ormond Street. Cathy then took up a registrar post in Paediatric Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Hospital and after being awarded a Fellowship in Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow, entered the Orthodontic training program at the Eastman Dental Institute, qualifying MSC and Dorth RCS (Eng) in 1990 and MOrth RCS (Eng) in 1991.

Cathy remained at the Eastman supervising postgraduate students before moving to Gloucestershire in 1992 with the NHS Trust working in outlying community clinics, Cheltenham General Hospital and cleft clinics at Gloucestershire Royal. She also worked part time as an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Bristol, supervising postgraduate orthodontic students, until a family tragedy necessitated her reducing her working hours. Cathy has worked in specialist orthodontic practice since 1994 and opened Cotswold Orthodontics with her partners in 2004.
